Adding a place

1. Spotted a great family spot that's not on the map yet? Tap the + button at the bottom right of the screen, or press and hold any empty spot on the map and choose Add a place here.
2. Move the map so the pin in the middle sits on the exact spot, or use Search address. When the location looks right, tap Continue.
3. Work through This Place, What & Kids (category, a main place type, and a second type if it fits), then Details for ages, indoor or outdoor, price range, facilities, and contact if you know them.
4. Tap Submit and your place appears on the map straight away, a little discovery for every family that finds it next.

Saving places

1. Found a place you want to come back to? With the place open, tap the heart at the bottom of the screen to save it. It turns solid once saved.
2. All your saved places live under Saved at the bottom of the screen. Browse and revisit them any time, even offline.
3. Changed your mind? Tap the heart again on the place or in Saved to remove it. No confirmation needed.

Adding a review

1. Open any place and scroll down to the review section. You'll see a row of empty stars with an invite to write a review. Tap the stars to get started.
2. Rate your experience from 1 to 5 stars. Add a written note to help other families know what to expect, attach photos, note your visit date, or tick the practical details you found useful.
3. Each place gives you one review, so make it count! You can always come back and update it after another visit.

Using Search

1. Tap the search bar at the top of the map. Places near you appear instantly.
2. Browse what's close by right away, or type a place name or neighbourhood to look further afield, then tap Search.
3. Use the categories to narrow by type (Parks & nature, Food & drink, Play, and more), or tap Filter to choose ages, price, indoor or outdoor, and facilities.
4. Tap any result in the list to open the place and see photos, reviews, and directions.

Searching around the map

1. Planning a trip to a different area? Press and hold any empty spot on the map (hold for a moment until you feel a gentle tap) to drop a temporary pin.
2. A small bubble pops up above the pin. Tap Search around this area to open a list of family friendly places within about 10 km of that spot.
3. Your blue location dot stays on your real position. The list shows places around the pin so you can plan ahead without moving the map.
4. From the same pin menu you can also tap Add a place here if you want to contribute a spot in that area.

Planning a trip

1. Press and hold any empty spot on the map and choose Plan a Trip, or open a place and tap Plan a Trip.
2. Sign in if needed. You can start a new trip or open a saved one to keep editing stops.
3. LittleFinds draws a driving route and lists family places along the way. Open a place to Add Stop, press and hold a stop to remove it, or tap My location or the destination to change the start or end.
4. Tap Go to open Get directions in a navigation app, or Save to keep the trip under Trips & Itineraries in your Profile.

Place types

1. A place type says what a spot is: a playground, café, farm, or museum. Every place has one main type and can add a second type, even from another category.
2. Types show as labels on the place. Categories on the map and in search (Parks & nature, Food & drink, Play, and more) help you discover places by category.
3. When you add or edit a place, you set types on the What & Kids step. Use Is it also something else? if the place fits a second type.
4. Types are different from Facilities (practical details) and from Personalised Discovery themes.

Facilities

1. Facilities are practical details families care about, such as baby changing, parking, or sensory friendly spaces. On a place they show under Facilities; when adding or reviewing you'll see What facilities are there? For the kids is a separate group for play focused features.
2. The person who added the place can set facilities when creating or editing. Reviewers can add facilities too. Everything everyone adds shows together on the place.

Personalised Discovery

1. Tell LittleFinds what matters to your family. Tap your profile picture in the top right to open Profile, then tap Personalised Discovery.
2. Choose the age groups that suit your children and the discovery themes that matter most, like Baby & toddler ready, Play & adventure, or Sensory friendly.
3. Switch on Use Personalised Discovery and the map and search results will quietly prioritise places that match your family's needs.

Reporting Features

1. Something wrong with a place? Open the place and tap the ⋮ menu in the top right to report it. If you added the place yourself, you'll see Edit there instead.
2. Seen a review that seems wrong, unfair, or inappropriate? Tap the ⋮ menu on that review and choose Report. Your own review shows Edit and Delete in that same menu instead.
3. Pick the reason that fits best. If you choose Other, add a short description so the team understands the issue.
4. Our team reads every report and decides the right action.
